A longer cure makes the bar denser. Denser bars build more luxurious suds and melt more slowly in the shower.

Why Olive Oil

For centuries, olive oil has been used in soaps in order to leave skin feeling soft and replenished thanks to their anti-oxidant rich phenols. That’s part of why we source our olive oil so carefully–so that regardless of the soap you choose, it’s sure to result in luxury in every lather.

Here are just a few of the phenols that can be found in our products.

A potent antioxidant with anti-inflammatory effects

Another antioxidant that’s effective in protecting cells from oxidative stress

A phenol known for its anti-inflammatory properties, it acts similarly to ibuprofen and has potential cancer-fighting properties

This compound is responsible for the bitterness in olive oil and has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties

A precursor to oleocanthal, it also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects

Although found in smaller amounts, it contributes to the overall antioxidant capacity of extra virgin olive oil

A well-known phenolic acid with antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-cancer properties

Another phenolic acid with antioxidant effects, contributing to the health benefits of olive oil

Clays & Powders

Like we do with our olive oil, we handpick each clay in our bar soaps. Because of their specific properties, there’s something for everyone to help create a purer, more hydrating cleanse.

Rose Clay

Best for sensitive or mature skin due to its mild exfoliation. It detoxifies by drawing out impurities, reduces excess oil on the skin, and leaves skin feeling soft.

Kaolin Clay

Best for sensitive skin. It controls oils without over-drying, creating a creamy, silky lather that is soothing for all skin types.

French Green Clay

Best for oily or acne prone skin. Known for its strong oil absorbing properties, it detoxifies while containing minerals like magnesium and calcium that nourish the skin. It mildly exfoliates and helps tighten pores.

Dead Sea Clay

Best for dry or acne prone skin and those with skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Containing magnesium, sodium, potassium and calcium, this mineral-rich clay offers a medium level of exfoliation that helps it to detoxify and remove impurities while still helping the skin retain moisture.

Oatmeal Powder

Best for all skin types and used in our baby soap. A mild exfoliant, it helps the skin maintain a protective barrier locking in moisture while still cleansing the skin. It also contains antioxidants that aid in environmental protection and help balance the skin’s PH.

Activated Charcoal

Best for oily or acne prone skin. Another mild exfoliant, it detoxes and purifies the skin by helping to unclog pores. It also absorbs excess oils without overdrying, aiding in the overall clarifying effects it has on skin.

Essential Oils

Just like with our olive oil and clays, we’ve intentionally chosen our essential oils to help give that added boost that leads to a healthier, more radiant you after each use.

Lavender

Suitable for all skin types, especially dry, sensitive and mature skin. With antimicrobial properties, it eases skin redness and aids in stress relief.

Tea Tree

Suitable for oily and acne prone skin. Thanks to its antibacterial and antifungal properties, it cleanses and helps reduce redness.

Lemongrass

Suitable for oily skin. Antibacterial and antifungal, it deodorizes and helps tighten pores, reducing excess oil.

Rosemary

Suitable for oily and acne prone skin. Anti-microbial properties cleanse pores and reduce oiliness.

Mint

Suitable for normal to oily skin. Its cooling sensations ease irritations and inflammations, also offering antimicrobial properties.

Litsea Cubeba

Suitable for oily and acne prone skin. This antiseptic helps prevent bacterial growth, tighten skin pores and naturally deodorizes.
