Make your own clay soap workshop with an experienced soapmaker. 

Spend two hours at the workbench in our Highlands Ranch soap shop. Explore the history of Castile soap, the role of natural clays, and the oils and essential oils behind a batch you make yourself.

What your $60 workshop includes

  • A two-hour, hands-on session with Brad Kellum.
  • Ingredients, molds, soapmaking equipment, and protective gear for use during the workshop.
  • Making your own batch and pouring approximately 14 bars.
  • Six (6) bars from your batch, packed in our custom curing box for pickup three days later.
  • A conversation about the science of soap, formulation, and curing.

Make it. Pick it up. Let it cure.

Each attendee makes a batch and pours around 14 bars during the workshop. Your workshop includes six bars from that batch.

Three days after your workshop, return to Solid Olive to pick up your six bars, packed in our custom curing box. Take the box home and place it in an area with good airflow. Allow your soap to cure until the date stated on the box. Then your bars are ready to use!

Meet your soapmaker

Your workshop is led by Brad Kellum, founder of Solid Olive. Brad grew his first soap company to 300 locations across 32 states before selling it in 2020. Solid Olive is his second soap company, with a focus on Castile products.

From soapmaking across the United States to Vancouver, BC, and Kigali, Rwanda, Brad brings a well-traveled perspective to the workbench. His approach starts with a simple idea: soap belongs to a place and the people who live there. You'll hear how local climate, community, and the way skin feels inform his approach to making soap.

Sessions are limited to four participants. Choose an available date and time in the booking calendar. Each quantity of one reserves one participant's place. Booking closes 24 hours before the session begins.
